We are now better than Yogyakarta
This was conveyed by the Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, when giving a public lecture and inaugurating the Ciputra University Jakarta building in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Thursday (10/15).
Pramono Emphasizes the Importance of Cross-Border Collaboration to Achieve Quality Education"The most important thing is education. Jakarta today, for education, as a student city, which was never ranked number one in the past, is now the number one student city in Indonesia. In fact, we are now better than Yogyakarta," said Pramono.
Pramono expressed pride in this achievement. He hoped that Ciputra University Jakarta would contribute to the development of education in Jakarta, further improving it.
To improve the quality of human resources for Jakarta residents and create equitable access to education, the Jakarta Provincial Government continues to expand the number of beneficiaries of education programs such as KJP, KJMU, and diploma amnesty.
Furthermore, the Jakarta Provincial Government will soon provide LPDP scholarships for Jakarta children. Furthermore, the Jakarta Provincial Government is modernizing 19 school buildings with complete facilities.
These various facilities and easy access to education are provided to reduce the Gini ratio, which is currently still high.
"I am one of those who believe that the way to break the line of bad luck in a family is through education," he added.
Ciputra Group Managing Director Harun Hajadi hopes that the Ciputra University Jakarta will contribute to creating the quality human resources needed by Jakarta to become one of the world's leading global cities.
He conveyed Ciputra University's vision of producing a generation that is brave enough to create business opportunities, jobs, and provide solutions for society.
"Therefore, entrepreneurship is not just a course at Ciputra University. Entrepreneurship is part of the University's DNA," he admitted.
